Burning Herbs

As a Native that carries items in my store meant for burning incense and dried herbs; I feel that I have a responsibility to make a statement regarding respecting closed ceremonial practices.

White Sage and Palo Santo have been widely commodified to the detriment of the ecosystems of which these woods and herbs are grown. These items are used in sacred practices not meant outsiders.

Please source your dried herbs with respect to Indigenous closed ceremonies, and abstain from using White Sage and Palo Santo. Dried herbs local to your area are widely accessible. There are many makers of herb wands that create without using commodified sacred herbs/woods.  For more information you find a well written article here.
